The IT company Andersen invites a Linux Administrator to work on a project for one of our German customers.
The customer is a global logistics company offering a broad range of integrated solutions in supply chain management. The company primarily operates in two business areas: Supply Chain Solutions and Print & Packaging Solutions. The company employs nearly 8,000 people and operates in around 20 countries across four continents.
The project is the development of a system for production management, including on-demand printing and printing for the automotive sector, such as manuals, and logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Designing, planning, installing, and maintaining Linux systems.
- Planning and configuring complex network and firewall environments.
- Implementing and maintaining IT security protocols.
- Developing and maintaining scripts using Shell/Bash.
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Supporting the training of apprentices and dual students.
Must-haves:
- Technical studies, ideally in computer science or a related field.
- Proficiency in Linux systems, particularly Debian-based and Suse/RedHat.
- Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, and Wi-Fi.
- CCNA certification (Cisco Meraki as a big plus).
- Experience with Ceph cluster, VMware/vSphere, Veeam, and DNS management.
- Experience with web servers (Apache/nginx).
- Familiarity with SonarQube, Jenkins.
- Knowledge of Docker.
- Understanding of Samba.
- Experience with MySQL/MariaDB.
- Proficiency in using macOS.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Cybereason (EDR/XDR).
- Familiarity with Citrix and Zabbix.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL.
- Understanding of Active Directory and Office 365.
- Experience with Exchange on-premises.
- Level of German – from Intermediate.
