The international IT-company Andersen invites a Lead Java Developer to join its team for working on the project in the field of Insurance.
The customer is a German company, a leader in the global reinsurance market. It is the only company in the world specializing in digital software solutions for the medical industry. It offers financial protection when faced with exceptional levels of damage: from earthquake to hurricane season. The company has more than 4,000 clients in more than 160 countries.
The project is the development and maintenance of software products, providing new solutions for the automation of business processes and underwriting in the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
- Providing leadership and technical guidance to the team and consultancy to project/delivery management.
- Identifying technical products and devProcess improvements and opportunities.
- Being responsible for all product, project and support development deliverables.
- Ensuring engineering decisions align with all delivery stakeholders.
- Leading a team of Software Engineers and being responsible for coordinating with the QA & Release Lead and DevOps Lead to ensure all activities are aligned and delivered to overall engineering delivery objectives.
- Driving through changes to optimize processes and taking responsibility for continuous improvements in the software development function.
Must-haves:
- Experience as a Java Developer for 5+ years.
- Experience with Spring Framework.
- Practical experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Web, Spring Security.
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and principles.
- Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web security.
- Experience with Oracle DB, SQL Server and MySQL.
- Good knowledge of MS Azure Cloud concepts and native components.
- Experienced user of CI/CD best practices including setting up non-disruptive release deployment models, e.g. blue-green deployments, canary-based releases, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with Java Swing.
- Experience migrating "Lift&Shift" based MS Azure solutions to native Cloud implementations.
- Experience with C4 diagramming.
- Experience in designing software architecture.
- Experience with Postgres.
