C++ Developer

The IT company Andersen invites an experienced C++ Developer to join its team for working with a US company. 

The customer is a German-based, globally operating technology company. It provides innovative and reliable solutions in the fields of Smart Mobility Solutions and Advanced Photonic Solutions. The company's 4,000 employees are represented in Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific with an extensive network of trusted partners. The headquarters is located in Jena, Germany. 

The project is the maintenance and improvement of professional evaluation software for traffic safety. It processes data from traffic enforcement systems.   

Responsibilities:

 - Designing hardware-agnostic solutions to ensure compatibility across various platforms.

 - Integrating diverse sensors, including third-party options, into the system architecture.

 - Adapting and extending region-specific interfaces and regulatory requirements.

 - Writing high-quality, maintainable code supported by quality metrics and unit test coverage.

 - Ensuring scalability and ease of use in system design and implementation.

 - Creating and maintaining robust, comprehensive documentation for developers and users.

 - Developing a user-friendly HMI (Human-Machine Interface) with guided wizard functionality.  

Must-haves:

- Experience in relevant role for 5 years.

- Proficiency in C++ for high-performance and real-time applications.

- Experience in developing robotic applications using ROS2, including node creation, message passing, and lifecycle management.

- Embedded-specific experience (Yocto, ROS2, Strong Linux fundamentals).

- Hands-on experience in integrating various sensors (e.g., cameras, LiDAR, radar, IMUs) into perception pipelines.

- Understanding of machine learning techniques for perception and decision-making tasks in robotics or autonomous systems.

- Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and real-time programming concepts.

- Level of English - from Upper-Intermediate and above.
