Senior Data Architect

For our Fintech client from the UK, we are seeking a Data Architect to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Conduct requirement analysis and prioritise features. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data architecture.  
• Data Architecture Design: Design scalable and robust data architectures to support migration to AWS, ensuring the data solution's scalability, reliability and security.
• Data Warehousing: Design efficient data warehouses for analysis and reporting.
• Data Governance: Ensure data quality and regulatory compliance.
• Data Security: Implement data security best practices to protect data integrity.
• Data pipelines and Integration: design data transfer and transformation processes to integrate data from various sources.
• Provide guidance and architectural oversight on database performance, optimisation, and scalability.

If you possess:

• Several years of experience in designing and developing data solutions with at least 6+ years of experience as a data architect or similar role  
• Conducting requirement analysis, prioritising features, and aligning data architecture with business objectives.
• Skill in designing scalable and robust data architectures that support current and future business needs.
• Expertise in database technologies and their optimal usage in different scenarios.  
• Experience or strong understanding of data migration strategies and cloud transformation.
• Data Modeling: Proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with business requirements and support efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Data Governance: Ability to implement data governance practices to ensure data quality, security, MDM and compliance with regulations.  
• Data Security: Knowledge of data security best practices and principles to ensure data integrity and protect against unauthorised access.
• Good understanding of various data architecture patterns  
• Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and justify design decisions.
• Experience or awareness of developing ETL/ELT processes and tools to integrate data from various sources and develop advanced analytical solutions.  
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges and optimise data architecture.
• AWS: Experience in designing data solutions in AWS platforms (AWS DynamoDB, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL)
