For our Fintech client from the UK, we are seeking a Data Modeler to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, architects, and other stakeholders to gather data requirements and translate them into logical and physical data models.
• Data Modeling: Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the migration and future operations. 
• Create data dictionaries and metadata documentation for all models.
• Optimize database structures and schemas for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure data quality and security.  

If you possess:

• Professional experience: 6+ years of experience in designing and developing data solutions in a data modeller or similar role 
• Conducting requirement analysis, prioritising features, and aligning data architecture with business objectives.
• Experience with both relational SQL and NoSQL databases 
• Proficiency in creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Proficient in data modelling tools and methodologies (e.g., ERD diagrams, UML).
•  Experience working with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
• Good understanding of data governance and security. 
• Good understanding of various data architecture patterns 
• Experience in data migration projects
• Experience or awareness of developing ETL/ELT processes and tools to integrate data from various sources and develop advanced analytical solutions. 
• AWS: Experience in designing data solutions in AWS platforms (AWS DynamoDB, AWS Aurora PostgreSQL, AWS Glue, etc)
• Tech stack: Proficiency in programming languages used for data manipulation and analysis, such as Python and SQL.             
• Communication Skills: Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements, explain technical concepts, and justify design decisions.
