Data Lead (Data engineer/analyst)

For our Fintech client from the UK, we are seeking a Data Lead (Data engineer/analyst) to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end data migration from the legacy platform to AWS Cloud
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Conduct requirement analysis and prioritise features. Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data architecture. 
• Collaborate with the Data Architect and Modeler to ensure smooth implementation of the data migration strategy and target data architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines using AWS Glue to transform and load data into target systems such as Amazon Aurora and DynamoDB.
• Implement and optimise data workflows to ensure high performance and scalability.  
• Leverage AWS services for data integration and analytics, including Amazon S3, AWS Glue, and Amazon SageMaker.
• Collaborate with your team to ensure data quality and data security. 

If you possess:

• Several years of experience in data engineering with experience in leading position. 
• Extensive hands-on experience in ETL development, particularly with AWS Glue and similar tools.
• Experience in large-scale data migration projects focusing on automation and optimisation.
• Strong understanding of data transformation, migration, and integration techniques.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases.  
• Experience in data analytics, including data visualisation, reporting, and generating insights.  
• Proficiency in AWS services like Amazon Aurora, DynamoDB, AWS Glue, and SageMaker.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
