As a Release Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that new releases to technology platforms and applications are planned and executed efficiently, with the highest quality for customers and operations, and in compliance with company standards.
You will be working with many different stakeholders such as other Release Managers, Test Managers, Product Owners, Execution Leads, Scrum Masters, Operations teams etc, in order to secure a safe and successful delivery
- Coordinating, planning and maintaining the release roadmap for one or more applications.
- Release and deployment planning and coordination of multiple parallel releases.
- Planning release go live and post-go-live activities.
- Planning, coordinating and tracking change activities throughout the release process.
- Leading release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each release milestone.
- Planning and setting up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams
- Increasing release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working to release orchestration.
- IT project management and planning skills (5+ years).
- Previous experience from release or deployment management activities (preferably from the banking sector).
- Experience working with incident, problem and change management tools and processes under ITIL framework.
- Confident working with Project Management tools. (Jira, Confluence).
- Experience to work with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices.
- Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working.
- Great communication skills and fundamental technical knowledge in order to communicate with the development team(s) and create & validate deployment runbooks in collaboration with the team.
- The passion to work with industry-leading Release Orchestration tool to create automated release pipelines with the help of technical experts.
- Bachelors/Master's degree in IT or related disciplines.
- Pay attention to details, with the ability to keep an overview to deliver your commitments and dependencies to others.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Flexibility: able to work extra paid evenings and weekends for the implementation of events.
- Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, SAFe methodologies.
- Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
- Technical mindset.
