WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?

• Write and maintain preventive, detective, and corrective controls for AWS workloads in alignment with Cloud Security Architecture and Cyber Security Engineering

• Fully and robustly test and continuously monitor the existing controls to ensure they continue to be fit for purpose and align with the updated control definitions

• Take ownership of the evolution and help to maintain security and compliance related documentation

• Support teams to implement remediations in alignment with defined controls

• Liaising with other engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to understand our customers needs and use this to help improve the service we provide

• Driving continuous improvement of cloud security and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high quality code and data.

• Support incident management processes

• Proactively research emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of cloud threats

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?

• Expert level knowledge and hands on experience working with Amazon Web Services.

• Experience in a cloud security focussed role (working within a SIEM, working within a cloud devsecops team, as a dedicated cyber security engineer or similar)

• Customer/stakeholder focus. Ability to build strong relationships with Application teams, cross functional IT and global/local IT teams.

• Working knowledge of software development, DB and IaC tools and technologies; e.g Python, Bash, SQL, Terraform, CloudFormation and data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV.

• Self-motivated and possessing a high sense of urgency and personal integrity.

• Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.

• Strong knowledge of Agile working methodologies.

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English) with an ability to;

• communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences

• produce clear and concise reports/control documentation for targeted audiences across internal and external stakeholders

• Would be beneficial:

• AWS Cloud Architecture certification(s)

• Professional Security related qualifications.

• Experience working with JupiterOne or similar Cloud Infrastructure posture management tooling
