WHAT YOUR CHALLENGES WILL BE?
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join Digital Business Automation team, specializing in infrastructure automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions across various platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools to drive efficiency and streamline processes within our IT infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing automated solutions to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency.
What you'll do:
▪ Introduce monitoring and observability solution for products ensuring full automation in line with stakeholder requirements.
▪ Create and maintain scripts, workflows, and tools to automate repetitive tasks, reducing manual intervention and errors.
▪ Evaluate and integrate new automation tools and technologies to enhance existing systems.
▪ Collaborate with IT and DevOps teams to implement automation in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
▪ Optimize and maintain automated deployments, ensuring high availability and performance.
▪ Monitor automation systems to detect issues and implement preventive measures to ensure smooth operations.
▪ Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
▪ Work closely with infrastructure and development teams to ensure that automation is seamlessly integrated into the software development lifecycle.
▪ Automate testing processes to ensure high-quality software releases.
▪ Write and maintain scripts using languages such as Python, PowerShell or similar.
▪ Develop custom automation solutions tailored to the specific needs of the organization.
▪ Ensure that scripts and automation tools are well-documented and adhere to best practices.
▪ Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues promptly, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
▪ Continuously optimize automation workflows to improve performance and scalability.
▪ Conduct root cause analysis for automation failures and implement corrective actions.
▪ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and drive initiatives.
▪ Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and automation practices.
▪ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and best practices.
WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
▪ Extensive experience in automation engineering, with a focus on on-prem infrastructure and systems automation.
▪ Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, PowerShell or similar.
▪ Strong experience with automation tools and frameworks preferably Ansible, Jenkins.
▪ In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience implementing and managing them.
▪ Experience with on prem distributed platforms – particularly with Linux, VMs.
▪ Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to resolve complex automation issues.
▪ Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
▪ Ability to deal with ambiguity and manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
▪ Experience with API and containerization technologies e.g., Docker, Kubernetes might be considered beneficial.
▪ Experience with monitoring and logging tools to track the performance of automated systems.
