Job Summary:
Today, the Allegro mobile app generates more than 50% of all traffic. As a Team Leader, you will lead a Mobile Development Team within the Delivery Experience (DEX) department and be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the Allegro mobile app.
DEX is responsible for features such as delivery selection, post-purchase tracking, parcel pick-up, and returns, among others. This position is crucial in advancing our mobile-first strategy, reducing delivery times, and contributing to Allegro’s strategic goals, supporting international expansion and platform innovations.
In this role, you will not only implement new features but also improve overall processes, develop innovative solutions, and ensure the codebase remains clean and scalable. You will work alongside a team of highly skilled mobile engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor a team of mobile engineers (Android and iOS).
- Collaborate with Senior Managers and Product Managers to develop and execute the mobile strategy for DEX.
- Implement a product-oriented approach, ensuring alignment with Allegro’s strategic goals.
- Drive the adoption of mobile-first principles in the software development process.
- Development & Innovation:
- Oversee the development and enhancement of DEX-related mobile features, ensuring high-quality performance.
- Manage the integration of new functionalities, such as delivery engine, carrier integration, and payment gateways.
- Work closely with UX designers and data scientists to implement user-friendly, innovative mobile solutions.
- Promote continuous optimization and A/B testing to improve the user experience.
- Team Building & Management:
- Build and manage a mobile team to ensure a balanced workload and faster time-to-market for mobile features.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, mentorship, and code reviews within the team and broader Allegro mobile community.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and high engagement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading mobile development teams in large-scale, fast-paced environments.
- Strong proficiency in mobile technologies, including Kotlin or Swift. Knowledge of object-oriented programming, algorithms, and design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code review, and automated testing tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
