Job description
Alkemi Network is seeking an experienced and ambitious Technology Lead to oversee the protocol's engineering and development efforts. Working closely with the CEO and other department leads, the Technology Lead will act as both a technology and business expert, making decisions that will impact the current and future roadmaps of the protocol.
What you will be doing:
Technology:
- Provide leadership and direction for the technical architecture and development roadmap starting with evaluating the current architecture.
- Build tech strategies around partnerships and integrations to help adopt technologies maximizing benefit / cost ratio
Business:
- Work closely with the business team and participate in the short and long-term strategic decisions.
- Reconcile competing needs within the protocol, provide stakeholders with relevant recommendations and decisions.
- Help to develop relationships within the Blockchain community, including notable projects and influencers in the DeFi space.
Leadership:
- Lead an agile and flexible technology team of developers, providing clarity on priorities, timelines and approaches.
- Connect and manage remote team members across different time zones in a responsive and efficient way, developing the team’s structure and culture to elevate performance and reduce friction.
What we are looking for:
A senior technology leader with deep expertise and a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in cutting-edge emerging technology startups. You are self-driven, eager to learn new things, with a proactive approach to work, a sharp sense of quality and reliability and a desire to hit the ground running.
Core Requirements:
- Proven experience as a technology leader within DeFi / Blockchain, or similar fintech technologies such as distributed networks.
- An understanding of tokenization and smart contracts (preferably worked on actual use cases)
- In-depth knowledge of systems architecture, design and development
- Knowledge of current DeFi / Blockchain technological trends
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience with our tech stack (see below)
Tech Stack - you have experience or a functional understanding of the following technologies:
- Ethereum and EVM-based blockchains, smart-contract development with Solidity, Web3.js / Ethers.js frameworks
- JavaScript / TypeScript, React, Node.js
- Mongo or similar NoSQL experience
- AWS, DevOps, architecture management and security
- Docker or other containerization experience
