Join our Engineering Team
Our Engineering Team develops integrated web interface and APIs into products, services and platforms. Working collaboratively and encompassing the full engineering cycle, we're constantly innovating to deliver for our customers. Our contribution is critical to the success of our customers' and Akamai's business. We work directly with the Open-Source community to share comprehensive support, updates and documentation.
Work with cutting edge technology
In this role you will be focused on testing and automating highly usable and reliable software solutions. You help build tools that allow our customers to configure Akamai products using Terraform, CLI and more. You are also expected to work closely with different stakeholders to ensure the delivery of the high quality releases.
As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
- Writing high quality test cases. Build automation and framework to execute the tests for Terraform Provider and Akamai CLI projects
- Handling changes to existing tools to ensure that they align to Akamai’s with the long-term strategy
- Being flexible to learn new languages as and when required. Using software development skills to develop tools and test automation frameworks
- Understanding product requirements and ensuring that they are covered as part of the implementation
- Collaborating in an Agile environment and influencing through code reviews, design process and product development
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Demonstrate experience and knowledge of programming languages such as Go, Python or Java
- Be open to learn new technologies or programming languages as and when required by the project
- Have a basic understanding of REST API testing, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code concepts
- Show experience with Docker or similar container technologies
- Have experience of working in a Agile Team when developing products through the SDLC
- Be detail-oriented with good written and verbal communication skills
