Principal Software Engineer (AI Consulting) - Part Time / Full Time

The Role

As a Principal Engineer at AI REV, you aren’t just writing code; you are defining how we bridge the gap between Large Language Models, Machine Learning Models and rigorous software engineering. You will own the architecture of scalable systems that serve global organizations, working with high autonomy to deliver solutions that are robust, secure, and blazingly fast.

You will operate at the intersection of Systems Engineering (Go/Python) and Applied AI. You will partner directly with clients to deconstruct ambiguous problems and ship solutions that define the state of the art.

What You’ll Do

• Architect Production-Grade AI Systems: You will design and ship highly performant, distributed backends (primarily in Go) that orchestrate complex AI workflows. You will move beyond "demos" to build resilient systems capable of handling sensitive data at scale.

• Drive Technical Strategy: You will have complete ownership of the technical roadmap for your projects. You will make high-stakes decisions regarding infrastructure (K8s, Cloud), architectural patterns, and the integration of emerging LLM capabilities.

• Elevate Engineering Craftsmanship: You will set the standard for code quality, DevOps practices, and system design. You will act as a mentor to other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

• Solve the Unsolvable: Whether it’s optimizing latency for real-time voice agents or ensuring context retention in massive datasets, you will tackle the hardest technical bottlenecks in the Agent Development Life Cycle.

• Enterprise-Scale Conversational Agents: Architecting a human-like assistant for a global organization that handles sensitive account verification and data retrieval. We automated >70% of 24/7 requests by combining secure RAG pipelines with K8s auto-scaling.

• Real-Time Voice Intelligence: Building a low-latency voice assistant for sales and support that performs instant transcription, context analysis, and live objection handling, drastically increasing conversion rates.

• AI for Social Good: Developing a matching system for a foster care agency. We utilized ML to improve the accuracy of matching children with foster families, streamlining operations to help children find homes faster.

What You’ll Bring

• Elite Engineering Fluency: You have a proven track record (5+ years) of building and scaling complex backend systems. You are proficient in Go or Python.

• Systems Thinking: You understand the full stack, from the database (SQL/NoSQL) to the container (Docker/K8s) to the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure). You design for failure and build for scale.

• AI/LLM Pragmatism: You may not be a research scientist, but you know how to engineer around the non-deterministic nature of LLMs. You understand prompt engineering, RAG, and model integration.

• High Agency & Founder Mindset: You don’t wait to be told what to do. You identify problems, propose solutions, and execute with intensity.

• Communication Mastery: You can explain complex architectural trade-offs and business value to a client’s stakeholders. (English proficiency is required).
