The Collections team, as part of the Repayments area, is on a mission to build a robust platform that will maximize the recovery of delinquent users by sending the right message to the right people at the right time, while monitoring and detecting problems and ensuring high reliability of the engineering systems. Collaborating closely with our product managers and backbook risk teams, you will effectively manage loans throughout the delinquency phase of their lifecycle and develop and implement recovery strategies.The Repayments team's vision is to develop easy, transparent, and flexible repayment experiences that retain our customers for life—through good times and bad times—which is a critical element of our strong unit economics at Affirm.We are looking for a highly motivated manager to help build this team in Poland or in Spain. What you’ll do
Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team responsible for the backbone of our delinquent loans recovery processes
Mentor engineers on the team to help improve their designs, code quality, and testing.
Own availability, reliability, and performance of your team’s systems.
Partner with product managers to design and build best-in-class systems and processes for collections.
Partner with a diverse set of engineering teams who build solutions throughout the entire lifecycle of a loans repayment at Affirm
Build relationships and engage with senior management in the organization
What we look for
7+ years of proven experience as a software engineer role with leadership responsibilities and 1+ years as an engineering manager.
Drive to change consumer financial services for the better.
Prior experience growing and managing a high performing engineering team.
Fluency in back end development.
Prior experience architecting, building, launching and maintaining consumer scale products.
Strong cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of basic loans lifecycle and delinquency assessment is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Pay Grade - P
Equity Grade - Poland 5
Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
POL base pay range per year: 358,000 zł - 458,000 zł
