Adtran seeks an outstanding Senior Engineer to work on its exciting new Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product: Mosaic API. Mosaic API is a cloud-based system that aggregates information from management and orchestration platforms, broadband access, and consumer in-home devices to produce helpful, targeted workflows for our users and AI-driven insights that ensure our customers’ success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and continually improving our product using modern technologies and best agile practices and will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.
The Software Engineer will be a member of a full-stack Team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Adtran products (Mosaic One API), including but not limited to the following: application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform engineering tasks for significant projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform or assist in high-level and low-level software design and implementation of new features and enhancements to existing software.
Perform or assist in feasibility studies of needed software development.
Document the design, including features definition and architecture.
Conduct and participate in design reviews and code reviews.
Plan and perform unit, acceptance, and end-to-end level testing of implemented software modules and enhancements.
Help fix software bugs found during all testing phases.
Work with the Team and other stakeholders to deploy and test incremental software releases.
Organize and coordinate development activities within schedule and product constraints.
Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required.
At least 5 years of active experience.
Strong ownership attitude and willingness to build products that clients love, drive feature development, integration, and QA efforts.
Proven professional experience with software design, implementation, and debugging.
A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
Experience with Python and TypeScript.
Experience with Angular.
Experience with API development and debugging.
Experience with AWS and cloud deployments (AWS SNS, AWS SQS, AWS Lambda, AWS S3, AWS API Gateway, AWS DynamoDB, AWS ElastiCache).
Good understanding of the infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) aspects.
Experience working with Postman.
Experience with at least one modern test framework (Jest, pyTest, Cypress, Robot Framework).
At least B2 proficiency level in English and Polish.
Excellent teamwork abilities and effectiveness in cross-site communication.
