Adtran seeks an outstanding Manager of Software to work on its exciting Cloud-based Software-as-a-Service platform. Intellifi® MeshView is a flexible SaaS software that enables service providers to manage, optimize and monetize with insights and revenue-generating tools to create differentiated services, capture new subscribers and increase ARPU and ROI. Intellifi® MeshView is a component of Intellifi®, Adtran’s complete connected home solution purpose-built for CSPs. Just a few features of the Intellifi® MeshView:
- SaaS solution enables deployment in < 24 hours
- Comprehensive telemetry, including WAN status, firmware versions, radio status, signal quality and device PHY rates
- Near real-time logs and event data, and historical data up to 30 days
- Virtual field technician to enable remote troubleshooting, cutting up to $1000 per truck roll
- Distributed servers to ensure GDPR and country-specific data privacy compliance
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the talented team and continually improving the product using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.
You will be a member and a leader of a full-stack team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Intellifi® MeshView, including but not limited to the following: application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform managerial and engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the team with their daily work and challenges
- Perform or assist in feasibility studies of needed software development.
- Document the design including features definition and architecture.
- Conduct and participate in design reviews and code reviews.
- Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases.
- Organize and coordinate development activities within schedule and product constraints.
- Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required.
- At least 8 years of active experience.
- Strong ownership attitude and willingness to drive feature development, integration, and QA efforts.
- Collaborating with stakeholders including customers and customer representatives to understand customer needs.
- Collaborating with other development teams and stakeholders as a bridge between the team and other parts of the organization.
- Proven professional experience with software design, implementation and debugging.
- A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.
- Experience with at least one modern web development framework
- Experience with SaaS back-end development practices
- Good understanding of the Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) aspects.
- At least B2 English proficiency level.
- Excellent teamwork abilities and effectiveness in cross-site communication.
- Experience with Product Owner role or leading a development team.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate both technical and business-focused needs.
- High degree of organization and excellent project management skills.
- Experience working across time zones and cultures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in leading a team using agile methodologies and principles.
- Experience in project management.
- Experience developing and deploying large-scale applications.
- Experience successfully driving delivery of software products.
- Experience with coding and scripting in Python, Angular, TypeScript, CSS.
- Experience with configuration management systems (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Experience with Infrastructure as code such as Terraform, CloudFormation/SAM
- Experience with cloud deployments such as AWS
- Experience with source code management tools and best practices (Git).
