SoC Modeling Engineer

WHO WE ARE:

Communication, Media & Technology within Accenture Technology is a department where we implement projects for our business partners in Poland, Europe and the US mainly in the areas of telecommunications and social media. We have a team on board consisting of people with different profiles, such as software developers, business and systems analysts and data engineers/scientists.

THE WORK:

• Design and implement SoC models using discrete event simulation techniques.
• Analyze and optimize SoC architectures
• Utilize tools like Gem5 or SimPy to simulate components and data flows within SoCs.
• Validate model correctness and performance through tests and experiments.
• Document modeling processes and simulation results.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to integrate simulation insights into the design process.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office - depending on specific project circumstances.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Strong Discrete/Dynamic Event Simulator experience: Expertise in using simulation tools and techniques to model and analyze system behavior.
• Strong Python experience: Proficiency in Python programming, including data structures, algorithms, and libraries relevant to simulation.
• Python generator experience (SimPy preferred): Familiarity with Python libraries or frameworks for building and managing simulations, with a preference for SimPy.
• Basic understanding of SOC architecture: Knowledge of System-on-Chip (SoC) design principles and components.

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Basic AI/ML Accelerator understanding: Familiarity with hardware accelerators for AI and machine learning workloads.
• Good understanding of specialized processors: Knowledge of custom processors or accelerators designed for specific applications.
• Worked with heavy performance data: Experience in handling and analyzing large datasets related to performance metrics and system behavior.
