System Implementation Engineer (Java)

About the Project

For our Client - a global agribusiness and food company we are looking for a System Implementation Engineer with knowledge of Java to join an international team working on an in-house developed platform designed to automate key operational processes, including goods delivery and dispatch, quality control, and document management. It improves the safety and efficiency of interactions between the customer and its suppliers throughout the delivery and sales workflows. The platform has already been deployed in several European locations and is now being rolled out to plants in Poland

Technology stack: Java 1.8, JEE, Swing, JForms, Java Web Start, Hibernate, JBoss, Tomcat, Oracle, Jasper Reports, BitBucket, Bamboo

Work Mode: Hybrid work from Kruszwica (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship) or Brzeg (Opole Voivodeship)

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the platform implementation projects, involving both backend and frontend development, with on-site presence required 
• Deliver system improvements and implement change requests in line with evolving business requirements
• Support the integration of hardware devices (e.g., scales, RFID readers, barriers) into the platform across locations
• Diagnose and resolve production issues related to system performance, stability, and availability
• Work closely with infrastructure and network teams to address cross-functional technical challenges
• Coordinate with external subcontractors contributing to the implementation alongside the internal team
• Contribute to the conceptual design and hands-on execution of system modernization, refactoring, and technical improvements
• Travel to various facilities in Poland as needed, depending on the stage and requirements of the implementation projects

Expectations

• Min. 7 years of experience on a similar position
• Hands-on experience with legacy technologies such as JEE and JForms
• Proficiency in working with Oracle databases
• Ability to maintain and gradually improve a monolithic application through incremental code enhancements
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Practical experience with hardware communication (e.g., control systems, measurement devices, security components)
• Basic knowledge of electrical engineering principles
• Familiarity with Ethernet, TCP/IP protocols, and network configuration
