Technical Lead

Mission: Lead the technical architecture and development of a revolutionary shared living marketplace platform, setting the foundation for trusted rental experiences across the UK market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable microservices architecture on AWS EKS with Istio service mesh

• Define technical standards, code review processes, and development best practices

• Lead architecture decisions for real-time features, payment processing, and trust systems

• Mentor development team and ensure knowledge transfer

• Collaborate with Product Designer and PDM to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Oversee integration strategy for third-party services (Stripe, Auth0, Algolia, Stream.io)

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of backend software development (ideally Python/FastA) and experience with 3+ years in technical leadership

• Expert knowledge of AWS services (EKS, Aurora, Cognito, S3, CloudFront)

• Strong experience with Terraform/Infrastructure as Code

• Proven track record building marketplace or multi-sided platforms

• Experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and service mesh architectures

• Deep understanding of payment processing, PCI compliance, and security best practices

• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management

Nice to Have:

• Experience with real estate or rental platforms

• Knowledge of UK regulatory requirements (GDPR, Right-to-Rent)

• Background in FinTech or payment orchestration
