About Us:

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-performance databases across diverse platforms like Azure SQL Server, AWS PostgreSQL, Redis, Snowflake, and potentially others, with NFRs (scalability, uptime, security) guiding your decisions. You'll navigate the nuances of each platform, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and alignment with business requirements.
• Craft clean, efficient, and well-documented SQL queries for complex data retrieval, manipulation, and analysis. Optimize queries for speed, resource utilization, and NFR considerations.
• Become the guardian of data integrity and ensure adherence to strict data governance policies. Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive information and safeguard data quality.
• Partner with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective database solutions and insightful business intelligence dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau. Foster a collaborative environment where data-driven decision-making thrives.
• Proactively monitor database performance and identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users. Leverage monitoring tools and NFR metrics to ensure smooth operation and implement robust disaster recovery plans.
• Stay ahead of the curve by exploring new database technologies and best practices, continuously seeking ways to improve performance, scalability, security, and disaster recovery. Embrace continuous learning and innovation.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior SQL Engineer or similar role. You have a proven track record of successfully designing, developing, and maintaining complex database solutions in various environments.
• In-depth expertise in Azure SQL Server, AWS PostgreSQL, Redis, and Snowflake. Solid understanding of additional database platforms is a plus.
• Exceptional knowledge of query optimization techniques and ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable SQL code.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles, normalization techniques, and disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with database administration tasks, including backups, recovery, performance tuning, and security.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash to automate database tasks.
• Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau or similar.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. You can effectively communicate with developers, analysts, and other stakeholders about technical concepts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. You're a self-starter who thrives in a collaborative environment.
