About the company

• The Swarm is a start-up company with offices in San Francisco and Kraków, building a new professional network management platform. 
• The company is generating revenue and has received funding from top-tier VC firms. 
• The team is currently 12 people and growing. The CEO is a second-time founder and the founding team has a strong start-up pedigree with 9-figure exits under their belt. 

About the role

• We’re looking for a talented junior software engineer who wants to grow their skills in a start-up with Go as a primary programming language. 
• You will join a team of experienced Go engineers (ex-Uber, ex-Google, ex-Brainly) and you will participate in the development of all backend services powering our product.  
• We’re looking for somebody with good fundamentals (algorithms, data structures, databases, problem analysis) and a good attitude (proactive approach, creativity).
• Some commercial programming experience is preferred, but it doesn’t need to be in Go. 
• We will actively teach you and oversee your work and development, but we will expect you to write coherent code from early on.
• A decent understanding of Git is strongly preferred. 
• A decent command of English is mandatory. 
• Students in the last years of university are welcome.

Compensation and benefits

• Terms, compensation, and contract type are to be negotiated individually.
• Flexible hours and hybrid remote work policy. Part-time is possible, but no less than 30h/week. It can be a formal internship if needed.

• $100 monthly stipend for work-related purchases (equipment, training etc.). 
• Laptop, monitor etc.
