As an Automotive Backend Developer you will collaborate with the team to design, develop, and optimize cloud components of Modern Automotive Digital Twin Solution for one of German premium car manufacturers.

Responsibilities

• Develop the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for the Digital Twin solution, playing a crucial role in its inception and early-stage development
• Work closely with other cross-funtional teams and architects, including both embedded and cloud teams, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of the end-to-end automotive software platform
• Conduct research and spikes to select the most suitable technologies and design concepts for different use cases, ensuring optimal performance and scalability
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to understand and document software requirements thoroughly
• Create comprehensive tests and maintain proper documentation for all developed software components
• Active participation in scrum ceremonies and on-site PI plannings (quarterly in client’s office in Germany)

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a backend developer, demonstrating proficiency in tackling significant software challenges.
• You have gained experience as a developer in Java / Kotlin based enterprise applications with microservice architecture (security, scalability, resilience, async communication) in various projects
• Previous work with MQTT, MongoDB and Kafka
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• You have a good understanding of maintainability, security and code quality
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken (B2+/C1)
• Good communication skills, openness

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Rust programming language is advantageous, though candidates with a willingness to learn it are also welcome
• Familiarity with Quarkus and GraalVM
